What to Expect in a Rehab Programme
Primary care, or inpatient treatment, is what most people will picture when they think of alcohol or drug rehab. Most people may know what life is like inside a rehab centre, but they won’t know unless they’ve been through it themselves. Many people who need drug or alcohol treatment may also be wary of what awaits them in residential rehab.
The primary thing that a person who is about to begin an inpatient rehab programme needs to know is that the treatment will be intense. Residential care often offers the most thorough support for drug and alcohol addiction. Access to continuous support is given as staff members will supervise at all times.
Something else that a person can expect in inpatient rehab treatment is that they may not have access to the internet. This varies from one facility to another, but some centres will deny access to the Internet entirely, others will limit access, and others will have no restrictions.
Some rehab centres will also offer drug or alcohol detox services. Others may not offer these services, but they may work with nearby centres to help people detoxify their bodies.
